Completed My BE Second Year 🎯

Second year ended on a high note — I secured an exceptional 9.2 SGPA, and along with that, I learned a ton.

Technical highlights:

• Deepened my understanding of C and C++, especially pointers
• Learned Assembly language, which really showed me how a computer works under the hood. I had zero prior experience writing assembly to control hardware, but I built a solid understanding through my lab practicals — and I still remember the moment I rotated a motor for the first time during my final lab exam. That one stuck with me.
• Went deeper into Python by following Apna College on YouTube
• Started exploring JavaScript and diving into DSA
• Most importantly, I finally learned how Git and GitHub actually work — took me about a month to properly wrap my head around it
• Switched to Linux (Ubuntu) for better performance on my old laptop. It took about 2 months to get fully comfortable, but I came out the other side a huge Linux fan — “I use Linux, by the way!”

The hackathon experience: I took part in my first hackathon, where our team built MindCare AI using the Gemini API — brand new at the time. I still remember the chaos of everyone’s ChatGPT limits running out mid-hackathon, and us switching to Claude across multiple accounts just to keep building. We didn’t win, but the experience itself was worth it.

Later, I won my college-level DSA/problem-solving hackathon, taking home ₹3000 as a reward — a nice full-circle moment after the first one didn’t go as planned.
